G. Dana Sinkler

Now of counsel with Gibbs & Holmes, Dana Sinkler has practiced law in Charleston for over fifty years, specializing in civil litigation. Mr. Sinkler received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and his law degree from the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe. Prior to becoming associated with Gibbs & Holmes, Mr. Sinkler was a partner in the firm of Warren & Sinkler.

Mr. Sinkler is peer rated as AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2001, including the practice area of Commercial Litigation, and has been selected by Super Lawyers for the years of 2008-2009.

Mr. Sinkler is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a prestigious group of trial attorneys who are selected from their peers as outstanding trial lawyers who demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, ethics and civility. Membership is by invitation only and is extended only to trial attorneys who are recognized leaders in their local communities and have been practicing for at least fifteen years. In addition, Mr. Sinkler was the President of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association and is a permanent member of the Judicial Conference of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He has also served on the City of Charleston Zoning board and as a Chairman of the City of Charleston Board of Architectural Review.
